NECK TIES VS HIGH HEELS
Date
2024 - 12.14th / 15th
Project type
Comedy play
"Tie vs. High Heels" is a classic black comedy in the Bay Area. It was adapted by San Francisco Silicon Valley playwright Shen Yue from his own play "Who is the Winner?" many years ago. In 2008, it was produced by Shen Yue and directed by Lin Hongtong. It was staged in Silicon Valley and received numerous praises. The audience burst into laughter 108 times.
The story tells about four brothers who reunited in the underworld and reviewed their gains and losses in the previous life in order to fill out the "reincarnation application form". In the end, they all agreed that the wives in the world lived better and decided to become women in the next life.
However, although the wives who stayed behind had power, status, money and love, they did not seem to be happy. The four friends who reincarnated from men to women still did not overcome the character defects of their previous lives, and saw the turning point of fate coming again.
A seemingly happy life does not seem to depend on whether you are a man or a woman, rich or poor, or in this life or the next life.
In 2024, the professional production team of Communication University of China, Beijing Film Academy and Central Academy of Drama will join hands with elites from all walks of life in Silicon Valley to present a brand new look, combining the current public opinion and emerging culture of Silicon Valley and the world to continue the classics and perform hilarious performances.
